We have some exciting News!

Join us for an information evening (by Zoom) on Friday 25 September to hear about the plans for an original play “A 2020 Vision” that will be a collaborative project between Warrandyte Theatre Company and Ballarat National Theatre.

Award Winning Playwright, Emma Wood, newly resident in Warrandyte is creating a unique project that will give opportunity to reflect and share real stories of our very human experiences with this COVID-19 pandemic.

Warrandyte Theatre Company and Ballarat National Theatre will give voice to the real stories of real people in the creation of a new play, to be performed by local actors.

“A 2020 Vision” will be compiled by Emma Wood, directed by Susan Rundle and Adrian Rice, and produced by WTC and BNT and WRITTEN BY YOU!!

The project will launch with a “Zoom” on Friday 25th September for you, your friends and neighbours to meet the team and ask questions.

A 2020 Vision: COVID-19 Pandemic “In times of trauma, fear, frustration and confusion, people want to talk.... we’ve all been on a rollercoaster and have so much to share: the funny, the ridiculous, right through to our darkest moments.

A dedicated A 2020 Vision Facebook page will be created where Emma will pose DAILY QUESTIONS which people can answer in a word, a line or a paragraph. While it won’t be possible to include every contribution, the play will reflect a wide range of local voices.

Local actors from both Melbourne and Ballarat will perform in a live event online, followed by a Q&A.

Please keep an eye on the WTC and BNT Websites and on the A 2020 Vision Facebook page and the Diary and we will publicise the details of the Launch Zoom Meeting Details very soon!

The show will be performed live online on Friday 27 November. This will be a free event (with donations welcome). Booking details to follow. (It is anticipated it will be performed again live in Warrandyte and Ballarat in 2021!)

How can people find out more about the event?
