The Pottery Group

About the Pottery Group

The Warrandyte Arts Association Pottery Group is held in the “Old Fire Station” situated immediately behind the Mechanics Institute in Warrandyte. It is run as a workshop where each person works at their own pace. There is a tutor to coordinate glazing and firing. We mostly make earthenware garden pots such as planters, bird houses and feeders, water bowls, garden sculptures and very special mosaics.

As we are a non-profit organisation our fees are minimal.

The classes are held from 10am to 1pm each Tuesday and Wednesday and the terms run parallel with the school terms.

From time to time we are involved with local projects. Over the years we have contributed to the Federation Path; the garden path and sculpture at the Mechanics Institute in Warrandyte; and the Perorchan Sculpture at The Pines Shopping Centre. Most recently we created a mosaic panel for the Playground at Fenn’s Reserve in Templestowe.

Some collections of photos from the Pottery group can be found in the galleries...
