By Arrangement with ORiGiNTM Theatrical On Behalf of Samuel French. A Concord Theatricals Company.
Update: This play has been moved to late 2021 — precise dates are being organised.
In a farmhouse on the edge of Salisbury Plain, a family is falling apart. Stephen can’t afford to put his mother into care, Arthur can’t afford to stop working to look after his wife. When a young stranger moves in to care for Edie as her mind unravels, the family are forced to confront the way our lives slowly slip past us.
This much awarded, haunting, beautiful play explores the themes of warmth, compassion and wit. It tackles the harrowing issue of dementia with frankness and humour. Overall, this play about love and how it endures.
The Guardian described this play as “infinitely touching” and it requires actors who portray their characters with deftness and who work as an ensemble.
