“Calendar Girls” by Tim Firth has been waiting in our wings since March 2020 and now, shaking off restrictions will bounce back in September with largely the same cast that had memorised lines 30 months ago!
Primarily a story about a group of women that comes together at a difficult time, to overcome insecurities, grief and strengthen relationships while raising money for the good of the community.
Susan Rundle directs this and chose it because it not just because it’s a moving and feel-good play with lots of laugh-out-loud moments but carries important messages beneath the humour that will appeal to a broad audience.
